James Sinclair
A secular EU citizen. Open for all cultures and people, but with a strong enthusiasm for defending modern, western ideals on egalitarianism of women's and gay's rights, humanist principles and freedom of speech. || This often clashes with religious doctrine, apparent in the big monolithic religions. Especially troubling, when people try to make excuses for certain backward behaviour of adherents of these religions and which contradict everything the Free Society should stand for. || That is a society that serves the interest of the general public and not that of a social minority, by accommodating to them to every demand and wish. || It is taking and giving, unfortunately, the free secular people often have to give and get back nothing. This is something that a tolerant society should not tolerate! ------------------------------------------------------------ Quote: All national institutions of churches, whether Jewish, Christian or Muslim, appear to me no other than human inventions, set up to terrify and enslave mankind, and monopolize power and profit. - Thomas Paine (P.S. Misschien handig als DeJoop.nl de HuffPo goed kopieert en het mogelijk maakt om enters/alineas toe te staan in je biografie schrijfsel, want nu is het een onmogelijke wirwar van woorden.)
