    Een minaret is geen onderdeel van het geloof, net zomin als een kerktoren dat is.

    Een minaret was vroeger zonder de moderne communicatie middelen de enige manier om het volk op te roepen om te bidden, en dat is inmiddels achterhaald door de moderne technologie.

    Ook in Zwitserland wordt niet getornd aan godsdienst vrijheid, en daarom is dit een non discussie.

    Lees dit verhaal maar eens van een Imam uit Oxford.

    But what message, exactly? The vote betrays an undercurrent of fear among the Swiss?a fear that is not without cause. There is no denying the connection between radical imams and terrorist acts. Nor should anyone look away from the fact that too many European Muslims flatly reject the norms of their host countries, sometimes in ways that are criminal: honor killings, child brides and the like.

    Yet banning minarets does nothing to address that fear. It merely makes it less likely that the average Swiss will be confronted by a visible symbol of Islam upon his skyline. Thus, even as a symbolic gesture, it seems to encourage a head-in-the-sand approach toward the 5% of Swiss who are Muslim. In much of Europe, this is the norm anyway, the result of political correctness and cowardice.

    Wat van Dam niet doet is onderscheid maken tussen hen die niet kunnen(gehandicapten) en zij die wel kunnen.

    Mijn zoon is 24 en wil nog door studeren, dus krijgt hij een beurs, maar kan er niet van leven en z'n huur betalen, dus werkt hij er 2 dagen per week bij en heeft na aftrek van woonkosten nog 600E over om te spenderen. gelukkig vinden wij dat heel normaal.

    Ik heb geen enkel mededogen voor hen die kunnen, zielig doen, en (mede) door overlevering in de bijstand geraken.
    Vind wel dat de overheid een taak heeft deze mensen te scholen en aan het werk te krijgen, maar na 5 jaar bij onvoldoende resultaat zou de bijstand zelfs afgebouwd mogen worden.

    Het stokpaardje van van Dam om uitkeringen gelijke tred te laten houden met de loonontwikkeling zou zo snel mogelijk begraven moeten worden.

    Hamas, seculier of niet is onderdeel van "the old struggle" zoals de Christen arabier Azoury het een eeuw geleden benoemde :

Israel is not merely a group that established a state at the expense of a people. It is a group which wants to establish Jewish culture at the expense of Arab culture.?

    Humans tend to do what they do because they have a sense that their actions are "right." These are moral evaluations.

    Islamic jihadists do what they do because they are certain that they are morally right. We in the West hold life as the standard of value guiding our actions. Islamic jihadists hold death as the standard of moral value guiding their actions.

    Each acts morally, but their moralities are totally different from each other. We say they are "evil." They say that we are evil. Who is right? How do we sort all of this out?

    Het vredig samenleven van Joden en Palestijnen is een utopie, en zal eerst het hele Hamas charter herschreven moeten worden.
    Als Palestijnen serieus vrede willen zullen ze eerst geweld moeten afzweren , op eigen benen leren staan en admin istratief hun zaken op orde moeten hebben, pas dan kan je serieus over vrede spreken.
